I am reading "Manga for Dummies". So far it taught me how to make the faces.

Second attempt: The Smoke effect

        Considered to be very basic. Indeed very easy. 

1.Draw a white line using the paintbrush

2.Smudge it.

3. Use the liquify tool to give the desired shape

4. Thats pretty much done. Go to Dafonts for a cool font. 15 mins work. But still gives a nice effect. 

5. Additionally, you can colour it also.
